Dear members, Happy new year to you all!

Executive Committee of ACSI once again thank you all for observing 'Vitiligo week' successfully last year all over India by performing free vitiligo surgeries for poor patients.

ACSI now wishes to observe 'Leprosy week' from January 30th to February 6th 2017. Interested members particularly those working in medical colleges and hospitals are requested to perform free deformity correction surgeries and rehabilitate our leprosy patients. This can be done with the help of plastic surgeons /orthopedicians.

We may go for free education leaflets, posters, media interviews. To some extent, ACSI will support financially if required. This will be part of Community activity of ACSI.

I request all members to consider this and observe all over India.

Our Immediate past president, Dr.Koushik Lahiri rightly says- "By observing leprosy week in this way not only we can contribute something positive for the society at large, but may help in the image makeover of ACSI as a more responsible, balanced and socially oriented organisation and not just a society of some money minting doctors fanning desire dermatology"

Let us use our surgical skills and make our association more socially responsible!
